Acceptable Use Policy
Effective June 1, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all MultiTEL websites, portals, accounts, telephone numbers, mobile/eSIM, voice, hosted PBX, email, software, APIs, interconnections, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It supplements the Terms of Service.
1. Approved account and service use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes, under the correct Personal & Family, Business, or Communications Provider/Reseller profile, and within the Services, countries, traffic types, users, and use cases MultiTEL has approved. Technical access to a feature does not authorize its use.
All SMS, MMS, RCS, and similar messaging is governed by the Messaging Acceptable Use Policy and the schedule applicable to the account. If this AUP and a messaging-specific rule differ, the more specific messaging rule controls.
2. Identity, enrollment, and control circumvention
You must provide accurate, current, and complete account, identity, ownership, payment, service-address, emergency-address, and use-case information.
Customers may not use false information, automated enrollment tools, scripts, bots, identity substitution, synthetic identities, nominees, or other means to create accounts or circumvent MultiTEL's identity verification, account classification, approval, rate, security, registration, credit, usage, or fraud controls. You may not divide traffic, accounts, users, numbers, or payments to evade a restriction, threshold, review, suspension, or fee.
3. Illegal, harmful, or deceptive activity
You may not use the Services to violate law or the rights of another person; facilitate fraud, impersonation, identity theft, harassment, threats, exploitation, or unlawful surveillance; misrepresent caller identity, sender identity, authorization, consent, affiliation, or traffic type; distribute malware; unlawfully access systems or data; or transmit content that is illegal or that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
4. Network, security, and service integrity
You may not probe, scan, attack, overload, disrupt, degrade, or obtain unauthorized access to any account, device, network, API, number, route, registry, or system. Prohibited conduct includes credential sharing outside approved users, credential stuffing, denial-of-service activity, intentional traffic pumping, artificial inflation of traffic, fraudulent call completion, bypass of rate or routing controls, and alteration or concealment of traffic information required for security, billing, emergency services, or legal compliance.
You must protect credentials, devices, applications, and downstream access; maintain reasonable security controls; promptly rotate compromised credentials; and notify MultiTEL of suspected compromise, fraud, or unauthorized use.
5. Communications and numbering
You may not originate spoofed, misleading, unlawful, or unauthorized calls or messages; use numbers you are not authorized to use; interfere with number portability; submit fraudulent port requests; or use Services in a manner that creates material consumer harm, carrier complaints, regulatory risk, or network instability. Caller ID use must comply with applicable law and accurately reflect an authorized calling party or callback relationship.
6. Resale and downstream use
Personal & Family and ordinary Business Services may not be resold, sublicensed, or used for downstream customers unless MultiTEL has approved a Communications Provider/Reseller profile or written service order. Approved providers and resellers are responsible for KYC, authorization, disclosures, security, complaint handling, and enforcement for downstream users as required by their schedule and applicable law.
7. Monitoring and enforcement
As permitted by law, MultiTEL may review account information, metadata, content indicators, complaints, traffic patterns, security events, and other relevant records to detect violations and protect users and networks. MultiTEL may require additional documentation; block, filter, rate-limit, quarantine, reclassify, or suspend Services; revoke credentials; reject traffic; preserve relevant records; and terminate accounts. Action may be immediate where delay could increase fraud, consumer harm, security risk, carrier action, or legal exposure.
8. Reporting
Report suspected abuse or security incidents to abuse@multitel.net. Include the relevant account or number, dates and times with time zone, and supporting records. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information.
