Personal/Consumer Messaging Schedule
Effective June 1, 2026
This Personal/Consumer Messaging Schedule ("Personal Schedule") applies only to an approved natural person using MultiTEL Personal & Family service for that person's own conversational messaging from an authenticated subscriber device. It supplements the Terms of Service and Messaging Acceptable Use Policy.
1. Personal-service eligibility
Personal messaging is intended for ordinary, wanted conversations between an approved subscriber and family members, friends, and other individuals. The account, number, device, identity, and payment method must belong to or be legitimately controlled by the approved subscriber. MultiTEL may require identity, age, address, device, number-ownership, or payment verification before or after activation.
Personal classification depends on the actual sender, beneficiary, purpose, origination method, recipients, and traffic pattern, not merely on message volume or wording.
2. Permitted use
Subject to continuing approval, a Personal subscriber may send and receive conversational messages from an authenticated device for the subscriber's own non-commercial, household communications. Incidental personal coordination with a school, medical office, merchant, employer, or other organization does not by itself make the subscriber an organizational sender, provided the subscriber is communicating only as an individual and not on behalf of that organization.
3. Prohibited Personal use
Personal accounts and numbers may not be used for:
- messaging on behalf of any business or organization;
- marketing, promotional, or transactional messaging;
- sending automated or application-generated messages;
- sending of bulk or substantially repetitive messaging;
- shared business use;
- API, SMPP, or similar message origination;
- using Personal accounts to evade A2P registration;
- resale, sublicensing, or downstream customer use;
- fundraising, political, advocacy, survey, lead-generation, appointment-reminder, alert, notification, or customer-support programs operated for an organization;
- message forwarding, bridging, gateway, SIM-box, modem-bank, hosted-SMS, or platform use; or
- any use prohibited by the Messaging Acceptable Use Policy.
A sole proprietor, freelancer, professional, landlord, content creator, campaign, association, nonprofit, or informal organization is using messaging on behalf of a business or organization when messages further that activity. Such traffic requires Business/A2P review even where it is low-volume or manually typed.
4. No API or third-party access
Personal messaging must originate from an authenticated subscriber device or another Personal interface expressly approved by MultiTEL. Personal service includes no messaging API, SMPP bind, webhook-based origination, campaign tool, bot, CRM integration, shared agent inbox, or third-party application access. The availability of credentials, documentation, or an endpoint does not authorize use.
5. Review, reclassification, and enforcement
To protect subscribers and messaging networks, you authorize MultiTEL, as permitted by law, to:
- review and reclassify an account or number;
- require additional KYC or use-case documentation;
- restrict or suspend messaging immediately;
- migrate legitimate business traffic to A2P service, subject to approval, registration, and applicable fees;
- monitor metadata, content indicators, complaints, and traffic patterns as permitted by law; and
- preserve approval and enforcement records.
MultiTEL may consider repetitive content, message velocity, recipient count, sending hours, shared access, links, opt-out language, business identifiers, complaint rates, device behavior, account relationships, and similar indicators. No single indicator is necessarily conclusive.
6. Migration to Business/A2P service
If traffic is legitimate but non-consumer, MultiTEL may pause messaging and invite the Customer to apply for Business/A2P service. Messaging may resume only after required identity, Brand, Campaign, sender, and use-case approvals are complete. Approval is not guaranteed, and registration, monthly, carrier, and message charges may apply.
7. Subscriber responsibilities
Keep devices, accounts, and credentials secure; promptly report loss or compromise; do not allow an organization or unrelated person to control the number; and respond truthfully to verification requests. You remain responsible for traffic originating from your devices or account until compromise is reported and access is secured.
8. No delivery guarantee
Personal messaging is subject to number capability, device support, carrier filtering, recipient settings, roaming, network availability, and continuing eligibility. MultiTEL does not guarantee that every message will be accepted or delivered.
